CafeGroup Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Koichi Kishimoto) announces that it has made an investment in Human Life Code Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Masamitsu Harada; hereinafter “Human Life Code”).
■CafeGroup Inc. Invests in Human Life Code Inc.'s Series C Funding Round Human Life Code Co., Ltd. is a company aiming to commercialize and promote the widespread adoption of regenerative medicine using umbilical cord-derived cells (UC-MSCs).
Currently, the company is preparing for a Phase III clinical trial targeting non-infectious pulmonary complications (NIPCs) occurring after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Concurrently, it is strengthening its manufacturing infrastructure to ensure stable cell supply and building an international manufacturing and supply system centered on Japan and the United States.
In this Series C round, the company has completed a total funding of 1.9 billion yen.

■We have also begun providing information dissemination support through the medical specialty video brand “Medistoria.” CafeGroup Inc. strongly resonates with Human Life Code Inc.'s pioneering R&D in regenerative medicine, its scientifically grounded therapeutic value, and its strategic international expansion plans, and has decided to provide capital support.
